How Louisville Porta Potty Rental works
Louisville and Jefferson County share one Metro government, which keeps the rules for a public event consistent across the city and its towns. Bullitt and Oldham counties and the Indiana towns across the Ohio River each have their own process, and we plan each booking to the process that applies to its spot.
Most of our work is for Derby season, park festivals, riverfront events, race courses and road or building jobs. Each is planned from the facts the customer gives, and the plan is written down so the customer and any office can see it.
A local company does the work and holds the licences
Louisville Porta Potty Rental does not place, service or pump the units itself. A booking is handed to the local company nearest the job, and that company's own crew carries out the work. The company holds the licences, permits and registrations its work requires, including the operator licence that Kentucky's septage rules require for pumping and any registration that applies across the river in Indiana.
You can ask for the company's licence number on the phone at any time, and the company will confirm it when it rings to set the booking. For the company's privacy the number is kept off this website, but you are entitled to see it before any work starts.
Where a licence does not exist for a particular task, the company will name the registration that does apply, rather than pointing you to a licence that is not issued.
What we hold ourselves to
Count from the crowd
The count is built from the expected crowd at its busiest, with its source written on the plan.
Metro in view
Where the Metro process applies, the restroom plan is part of the file and is checked against it.
Written, not verbal
Quotes, schedules, changes and fault reports are confirmed in writing.
No invented figures
Where a figure was not sourced, this site does not publish one.
Our promises on every visit

Frequently asked questions
Who carries out the placement and servicing?
A local company that holds the licences and registrations its work requires, including the septage operator licence where pumping is done. Ask to see them.
Why is no price printed?
A figure given before the spot and the crowd are known would be a guess, so the price is confirmed once the job is clear.
